So what is winter
guard? Well, the same thing as color guard
but take away the band, the football field, and
the hot weather and you have winter guard.
To be more specific, Winter guard is an indoor
activity usually performed in a Gymnasium.
This is a chance for directors
and show
designers to make something their very
own in terms of style, and music. Normally,
the Colorguard director chooses the music
for Winterguard, writes the drill,
and choreographs it. This is all done on top
of a floor
covering in a gym. Those who
can afford it can have their drill written for
them, but drill writing is a skill most CG
directors should have.
