Color Guard Props

Props are objects that you can use to enhance the theme and understanding the show.

Here are some suggestions:

1.  Bottled water is a great alternative to throwing glitter (since some schools prohibit the use of things like glitter on football fields).

2.  Large pieces of fabric on the ground that showcases a theme of a show.

3.  Big Yoga-type balls can be colorful orbs fit for the right show.

4.  Brooms can be tossed like flags for a Fantasia show.

5.  Trampolines.

6. Ribbons are not used much by colorguards in the South West part of the U.S., but may be used for streams of color for any show.

7.  Big Machete swords made of ply-wood that are painted can be used like rifles for shows that have pirate themes.

8. Umbrellas (whether they are parasols, paper, or rain umbrellas)

9.  Canes.

10. Pirate Ship

11. "S" shaped ply wood (makes a hypnotizing visual when spinned)

12.  Street lights.
