This exercise is an absolute life saver!
Start out by having your students line up two by
two or three by three on one side of the room.
Put on some good music with a good beat, and teach
them to jazz run or make up a dance move that they
can implement while moving across the floor.
The music selection for this
exercise should be upbeat and fun. This is a
time for your students to become better friends
and let loose. Color guard can be stressful
at times and this is a great way to learn
essential skills plus have fun at the same time!
