I started teaching color guard
about 4 years ago. Up until then, I started
in 8th grade as a recruit by one of my friend's
sister. I was in high school color guard and
winter guard for 2 years and my Junior and Senior
year I was Captain. My Band Director at the
time asked me to come back and teach after I
graduated and I did. I have been teaching
Color Guard for about 3 1/2 years now and I am
improving my color guard's judges scores every
year.
When I first started teaching,
I was a little lost. I looked on the web for
any kind of resource that would help me out.
I couldn't find much, so I had to roll with the
punches. Three years later, I have decided
to put up this website to help all prospective
Color Guard directors, members and show designers.
I am truly thankful to all of
the help that the more experienced Color Guard
Directors have given me over the past couple years
and would welcome any learning experience that any
of you can give me.
